FMCSA's new registration system
Motus is FMCSA's new official registration system. It replaces the Unified Registration System (URS) and the FMCSA Portal, with stronger identity verification meant to cut down on fraudulent registrations.
Who needs it?
Every USDOT-registered motor carrier, broker and freight forwarder, and every new applicant.
Is it optional?
No. FMCSA has stated Motus fully replaces the old Portal, and existing accounts need to be re-verified in the new system.
