What Is UCR?
The Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) is an annual registration and fee program required of businesses that operate commercial vehicles in interstate commerce. Fees are based on the size of your fleet and go toward state motor carrier safety programs. The registration year typically opens in the fall for the following calendar year, with fees due by December 31.

Motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and leasing companies engaged in interstate commerce, including both U.S.-based companies and foreign carriers operating in the U.S. This applies whether you run one truck or a large fleet; the fee simply changes with the number of vehicles.
